It rained all night. Put the bag in a dry area while i packed away the tent. And it rained all day too.
The route was uninteresting. I didnt pass an open gasthof or cafe all day.
Having having my 2-day old burek for bfast, i had the 2-day old cheese pretzel for lunch.
Finally hit my goal town and headed for Penny Markt. It had stopped raining as the forecast had said. But there were menacing-looking clouds. I set off for the final 2 miles, came to a farmer-induced dead end, the heavens opened and so i scurried back to Penny to regroup. Found a new route to the campsite and waited out the worst of the rain.
Eventually had to go for it. The rain stopped just as i reached the campsite. I had time for a beer before it started again. Forecast is for rain for the next 10 days. Since I’ve got loads of big mile days coming up, and at least 2 days of wild camping, i fear for my soggy blistering feet.
