Greetings!

Hi, I’m Steven Primrose-Smith. Yes, I know it’s a stupid name. Just call me Prim.

I was born near Blackburn, UK, many centuries ago. During an uneventful technical career I realised life’s too valuable to waste it sitting at a desk. Instead, for the last decade or so, I’ve been undertaking huge bicycle rides and writing about my adventures.

So far I’ve biked over 50,000 miles/80,000 kilometres – twice the Earth’s circumference in distance but almost entirely within Europe – and written six travel books (as well as three novels). Please have a look at them over on my primrose-smith.com website.

However, these last two plague-ridden years and their restricted travel have inspired me to do something even grander and this time without a bicycle.
